LACMA is situated on Santa Monica Boulevard's museum district. It is right beside the prehistoric wonders of the La Brae tar pits. There is a fine western and international collection. I visited in 1997 and 1999.

On the hills overlooking Los Angeles and Santa Monica the Getty Center in 1997. I visted in 1999 to see the Getty Museum. I caught the winter sunset and viewed the collection. The setting for the art, both inside and out, is quite wonderful. One parks near the bottom and then takes a trams to the hill top for the view.
