In late 2008 I finally paid for an unlimited Pro Account at www.Flickr.com/CanadaGood. There I posted more than 17,000 photos. Here is where I expand my short Flickr profile. In 1963 I got my first Kodak Brownie camera and started taking photographs in my home city of Vancouver, Canada. Some of these early photos are here on Flickr. In 1996 I started making web pages with photos at NotSorry.com. I thought that I might sell larger version of my photos. I finally realized that my chances of actual photo sales were slim. In early November 2008, I finally gave up hoping for photo sales and started to upload the vast majority of my photos to Flickr. By the time I was finished, I had uploaded almost 17,000 photos and more than six months had elapsed. My most rent task is re-scanning and re-posting all my old slides. |

Having a limited film budget for many years forced me into the habit of thinking before I released the shutter. Unfortunately, it also meant that I missed many chances for great photos. Then, with my early digital cameras, I took too many low resolution smaller-sized photos. I wish that I could revisit some old locations with current technology and knowledge. I still have my Kodak slide projector complete with slide trays, slide cubes and slide transparencies. Even though most of these slides were hidden for years, they were very useful when sorting these images. Most have little notes written on the edges and most are stamped with the month and year of processing. I scanned a few thousand slides in 2002. (I have tags for slide film, print film, Polaroids and analog (non-digital) pictures). Many of the more embarrassing, personal and interesting photos are hidden unless you have Family and/or Friends access permission. Please ask if you want that user status. Warning: I include photos of former girlfriends and some family member's ex-spouses. These can be embarrassing! I made separate sets for other interests but have replaced many of them with Flickr tags. The sets have advantages, such as being in my chosen sort order, so I should create some more sets in the future. I hope that you enjoy the results. Comments and feedback are most welcome. |

I have been to more than 50 countries as a tourist. I have gone years between overseas trips but then, when I do go, I like to make it an extended trip. My set of Travels and Locations records three different trips to Australia plus round-the-world trips in 1975 and in 2000. I am in my mid-fifties but certainly look much younger in many of these photos! (There is also a 'Gregory' tag). I attempt sophistication yet remain a kid at heart. My employment locations have included California, Mississippi, Saskatchewan, Montreal, Alberta and British Columbia (BC). I am currently taking some university courses and, of course, taking more photos. |
