Gitsegukla is a Gitantown spelled several ways. It has a few great totem poles.

Driving east on BC Highway 16 from the intersection with BC Highway 37 one finds Gitsegukla about half-way to New Hazelton. There are several totem poles amid the power poles clearly seen from the highway.
This town is listed as Kitsegukla on one prominent highway sign. The river that enters the Skeena on the east side is officialy named the Kitseguecla. The former railway stop beside the nearby CNR bridge is known as Skeena Crossing).

The two most prominent totempoles appear to be twins at first glance;
but there are a number of differences between them.
Both are topped with gold-painted hats.
