The Hazeltons: pictures from British Columbia's junction of the Skeena and Bulkley Rivers

The Hazeltons are several towns and small villages in a small area of North-West BC. New Hazelton and South Hazelton are along Highway 16. Two Mile and Hagwilget are on the heights before the Hagwilget Canyon Bridge. Gitanmaax, Old Hazelton and the 'Ksan Museum are on the north side of the narrow one-lane bridge.
This bridge is latest of several that have spanned the deep Bulkley River chasm. It is more than 70 metres above the river when the water is running low. On this day it was high and raging.
