I worked in Jackson, MS in 1997 and 1998
During my time working in Jackson I would often take weekend trips out to various places as far afield as Memphis and New Orleans. Most of pictures in this period were taken with a small video camera. The photos here are captured still shots.
I am dumping all my pictures from this period into one page...

Jackson is hot in humid in the summer. The downtown area is very worn down but still includes the State Capitol buildings and hosts a fine Blues Festival.
Snow is rare but we did get some during my winter. I also include pictures from Oxford and Biloxi.
