Traveling from McBride to Jasper a visitor passes close to my favourite mountain

Mount Robson in BC is the highest in the Canadian Rockies. It is majestic at all times of day.
As with many western mountains, the pictures are more spectacular in winter; but only if the snow and clouds decide to part and allow a view. On a good day one sees a clear view from both the railway and the Yellowhead Highway.

In the early seventies I had a memorable day in the mountains above Jasper, Alberta

It was during my hitchiking days in July 1971. I met a young lady in Jasper named Mary Gangl from Ithaca, New York. We walked up Whistlers Mountain -- no it is not in Whistler, BC -- and took the gondola back to the bottom. There were some great pictures that day.
