My family has letters sent from Ireland to Upper Canada from as early as 1840. In September 2007 I attended a family wedding near the Haliburton cottage country.

I later drove through the prosperous farm country of Huron County. Some of the land is as flat as any found in the Canadian Prairie provinces.

The next day I drove through the small towns of Norfolk County. This is farm country to the north of Lake Erie. The small towns had interesting architecture intermixed with the banal.

Niagara Falls is a natural wonder that rarely disappoints.

I once drove up the Ottawa River from Montreal to Ottawa.

The world's tallest smokestack is in Sudbury, Ontario.
