In 1969 I made a student visit to Paris. I attended
the Bastille Day parade -- it is very military -- and listened on Voice of
America to the first moon landing. I strode through the parks and tossed
hard-boiled eggs from the Eiffel Tower. I visited museums and toured
Versailles. |
| Other visits were in 1975 and in 2000. Impressions and

| In the Louvre Museum -- it's pronounced with a silent "R" -- I took photos of Venus de Milo. Another version can be seen on my New York City web page. |
