The prairies provinces have some large cities and you will find some pictures in my Alberta section. I also worked in Regina and made one of my early web pages just for that city. Here I include a couple of Winnipeg photos taken near the famous corner of Portage and Main.

When it comes to photography though I would rather explore the commercial streets of the small towns. The simple plain fronted store fronts make abstract designs under the glare of the direct sun.

The signs advertise The Prairie Mercantile, J.W. Poole and Sons Fresh Cured Meats, Tivoli Theatre, Hotel California, McCallum's A.I. Service (Artificial Insemination) and Antiques. The towns represented include Glenboro, Pilot Mound, Springside, Saltcoats and Theodore.

One can occasionally glance scenes of quiet small town life. Including war memorials and some attempts to attract tourists.
