To most Indians, is a circle passing through both life and death.
In New Delhi I visited the river-side cremation site for Mahatma Ghandi.
In 1975 I wrote: New Delhi is a big piece of sanity amid chaos. Wide streets, majestic british architecture
and much fewer people and less poverty than Calcutta.... On many sidewalk stalls you can buy fruit juices and milkshakes
-- the famous Mango Shakes (15¢) are, if well made, one of the finest drinks in the world.
I also visited the Fort and the 239 foot (75 metre) high Qutb Minar (also spelled Kutab Minar).
