| This page shows my personal view of Victoria state in Australia. I include a few back country pictures of New South Wales taken during my cross country travels. |

During my 1975 travels I avoided Melbourne. I did get a ride though from Adelaide to Wodonga and Tallangatta along the gentle Murray River. I returned for a visit in April and May 1985.

More Australian symbols: The first is the Hanging Rock celebrated in a famous Australian novel and movie. (My other Australian movie favourites are Coca-Cola Kid and Starstruck). The second symbol is Ned Kelly's body armour.

In 1985 I did a solo ride from Brisbane, Queensland to Melbourne on a Honda XL 195cc. It was a long but fun trip. My friend Lois and I did an earlier trial run near Byron Bay, NSW.

Filewoods Furnishings and the Junee Hotel were along the road from Murramburrah to Wagga Wagga at the Gundagai turnoff. (I love the sound of Australian place names).

Here is Melbourne including pictures of the beach suburbs. Melbourne (pronounced mell - bunn) is a large cosmopolitan city with wide boulevards, trolley cars and many trees.

Here are some of the artistic sights that I saw there. The most famous picture in Melbourne is naked and in a bar near the train station.
