The nearby Blue Mountains do contain my favourite Australian scenery.
Generally though, Oz a large flat country. There are some fine beaches, lovely cities and friendly people;
but the highest mountain is just over 2000 meters. That would hardly attract tourist attention in most countries of the world.
I think that the Blue Mountains should be better known; but since they are close to Sydney, and close to normal bus routes,
nobody is getting rich selling tours. Tourist sites are commonly famous in direct proportion to the amount of money that can be made promoting them.
