Thailand, a personal view from visits in 1975, 1983 and 1985.

This page shows a brief snapshot of my travel impressions.
While I have travelled from south to north on three trips, my time in Thailand totalled less than a month.
In June 1975 I first arrived in Thailand by train from Malaysia. On a later trip I travelled south with a train full of drunk Thai sailors. I made a beach stop at Songla.

On a travel north to Chiang Mai, I stopped to see the old temples of Sukhothai. It is the earliest Thai capitol city.
