I live two hours from Seattle. I have some memorable visits

Seattle is a big city squeezed between the the salt water Puget Sound and fresh water Lake Washington.

Snoqualmie River and Falls are just east of Seattle. There is an occasional excursion train to the edge.

Seattle is more famous for more modern means of transportation. There is a wonderful Air Museum at Boeing Field.
A few miles north -- in the city of Everett -- Paine Field has the world's largest building as measured by volume.
