Expo 86 in Vancouver, British Columbia (BC) Canada

The theme of Expo 86 was "Transportation and Communication: World in Motion - World in Touch."
The exhibits illustrated transportation items ranging from a Roman Chariot to a Russian Soyuz spacecraft. Some were housed in the old Yaletown Roundhouse which remains in current use.

Pavilions and exhibits showed Vancouver at its best. I visited on the days with both the smallest and biggest attendance figures.

There were many ways to have fun. Fireworks and exciting rides became commonplace that summer.

Special exhibits included Peruvian gold and Egyptian Ramses era sculpture.
