I am Vancouver born. I have travelled far but always return to coastal BC.

Downtown Vancouver has areas that range from skid row to height of luxury. In many instances, the same areas have changed from working class to slum to millionaire neighbourhoods within a lifetime.

Some pictures on these pages are new and some others were taken as far back as the seventies.

While there is great pressure to cover rural farmland with suburban homes and giant greenhouses, we still have some great open spaces and lovely sights.

During the nineties we were treated in Vancouver to the Molson Indy car races. Unfortunately the street track was impractical. The city was growing up around the track. Often the only view was on the big screen or narrow gaps between the trees.
