The West End is my hometown. It is the dense residential area between downtown and Stanley Park.
I have lived in several regions of the Vancouver area. But I was born and graduated from high school in the West End.
I spent many of my adult years living in West End rooming houses and rental apartments.
Here you live within walking distance of downtown jobs and within a short hike to beaches and parks.
From 1986 to 1992, I lived in a 15th floor apartment at the top of Pendrell Street.
The great pictures included the local Baptist and Anglican churches.
The roof top views included great sunsets and peakaboo views of the ships in English Bay.
On a clear day one can see the mountains on Vancouver Island and even on Washington State's Olympic Peninsula.
