Wow. September is over but the fine fall weather remains. October was the driest on record for Vancouver. Bad for the farmers but it has made for some fine autumn weather.
This is the month -- at least in Canada -- for our Thanksgiving holiday. I was more than a little bummed out though. People often ask me about my favourite places that I have visited. I always mention Paris. I love Japan -- especially Nara. They remain calming places to visit.
Near the end of the month I made a quick driving trip through BC's Okanagan valley. The colours of the fall leaves were spectacular. These photos were taken along Wood Lake, Kalamalka Lake and Swan Lake near Vernon, BC.
A few pictures near the town of Lumby.
A few more along the placid South Thompson River east of Kamloops.
