What Was New: August 26, 1999Woodside Cafe, San Jose, San Francisco, Golden Gate, Legion of Honor(Gregory Melle's Web Diary / Blog)

During June 1999 I was busy working but did find time to make some car photos which can be seen at my Automobiles page. (My May photos from Monterey are still found at May What's new).
Early this month I drove into San Francisco. I took my bicycle and made a Golden Gate Bridge crossing to the north end and back.
From there I watched the America's Cup crew practising and dreamed of sailing (and perhaps buying digital camera that has a zoom telephoto lens).
Then I was off to the Legion of Honor art museum to watch a wedding and to see a few naked ladies...
From there one has a great view back to the bridge. As you can see, the weather cleared up in the afternoon.
My current contract is going well but my Y2k work will probably end in September. I have recently upgraded my home computer with Linux, a network and big 13.8 GB hard drive.
At the end of July I bought a used car. You can see it in this recent photo in front of Buck's Cafe in Woodside, California...
No, not the Porsche 550 Spyder in the front, but the 1991 Mercury Sable wagon behind it -- I hope to use it next weekend for some trailer travel.
On August 21st I visited a Beer Fest in downtown San Jose. Here are some pictures of my fellow beer drinkers...
The Buck's Woodside Cafe
sells a great breakfast.
The San Francisco
Legion of Honor has the primary collection of European art in the San
Francisco area.
