What Was New: February 29, 2000USA(Gregory Melle's Web Diary / Blog)
|
| December was busy month that included a trip to Vancouver. The photos can be seen at my last whats-new page. I have posted no interesting photos from January and February but there are plenty on my previous pages. |
I was quite busy working in January. Robert, my brother, came for a visit to see a custom car show. Unfortunately, that was the day that I forgot to carry my camera. Otherwise, I put in a lot of hours at work. That programming project is now complete and I will be taking a few months off from work.
I have been clearing my desk and am starting to pack. I am returning to British Columbia and then I am off on a major long-range big trip. You can follow along on my new Year 2000 Trip page.
I spent several weekends getting my bookkeeping and taxes in order. I am paying Canadian, American and California income taxes. I also have accounting for my business. Fortunately Revenue Canada has an excellent web site. I also found web sites where I could calculate my American taxes on-line for free.
I am seeing some of the local sights that I previously missed. I made it to the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose. It was very impressive but no photos are allowed inside.
My travel plans are progressing. I have my Russian and Chinese visas. The packing has gone well but I hate it so. It is amazing how I so often do things that are not good for me!
Before the big trip I am making a shorter trip back to Canada. So I am also spending time (and considerable money) repairing both my car and my trailer. I have been in a quandary figuring out all the trip preparation arrangements. But I am almost packed and should be on the road later today. I will be flying from Seattle on March 9th.
My current travel plans are at my new Year 2000 Trip page.
